Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about therapy, scheduling, billing, and getting started
How do I become a client?
New, potential clients are encouraged to schedule a free consultation. Once this has been confirmed, a questionnaire will be emailed and required to be completed prior to the consultation. Consultations are not required. You may call the office directly and request that your desired therapist reach out to you.
How long does each therapy session take?
Sessions are scheduled on the hour and are geared toward the needs of each client. All initial sessions will take most of an hour, while ongoing sessions can last between 30-60 minutes.
Can I use my insurance?
Yes, we accept the following insurances: Aetna, BCBS, Wellmark, CHI Blue Print, Nebraska Medicaid (Nebraska Total Care, Molina, and UHC), VACCN, Midlands Choice, and United Health Care/Optum. Each individual policy will need to be verified for specific coverages prior to the initial session.
Does the fee change if I do Telehealth?
For sessions billed to an insurance company, fees are determined and set by each policy. Insurance companies sometimes have differing rates or fees based on whether sessions are in-person or done virtually. For private-pay clients, our rates do not change depending on the location of the client.
Do parents have rights to the records for underage clients?
Our therapists work hard to maintain the confidentiality of every client, including clients under the age of legal adulthood. However, Nebraska and Iowa laws allow parents to have access to their child’s records for any client under the age of majority. There are few exceptions to this rule. It is our request that parents allow for their underage child to be afforded the same confidential experience of therapy as adults have.
