Meet Emori

The transition from being a kid to a teenager, and then a young adult can be the hardest!

Hi, my name is Emori, and I help kids and adolescents deal with all the stuff life throws at them.

My approach is warm, down-to-earth, with a touch of humor. I show up as a human first and a therapist second, and I’m not afraid to use gentle humor when it helps ease a heavy moment or make things feel a little less intimidating. I want therapy to feel like a space where you can breathe and you feel seen, supported, and understood exactly as you are.

Whether we’re talking through something that’s been weighing on you, practicing new coping skills together, or celebrating the small victories that often get overlooked, I’m right there with you. I’m in your corner, every step of the way.

I love working with adolescents who are navigating the ups and downs of anxiety, selfesteem, life transitions, and family relationships. Growing up is hard, and my job is to make sure you don’t have to figure it all out alone. In sessions with me, you can expect a supportive environment where you can show up as your true, unfiltered self. All the messy feelings, awkward moments, and all. I’m here to help you make sense of things, build emotional strength, and feel a little more grounded in who you are.

My Background:

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner!) and went on to earn my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky. My training and experience have helped me develop a passion for supporting adolescents as they navigate some of the most important stages of their lives.

What Sessions Look Like With Me:

I believe that talk therapy isn’t always great for everyone. I believe therapy should be active, hands-on, and designed to fit you. I like to incorporate creative and engaging activities that make it easier to express feelings, explore thoughts, and practice coping skills. Some examples of what we might do include:

  • Art-based activities: drawing or painting emotions, creating “strength shields,” or building visual mood maps to help understand feelings.
  • Hands-on exercises: role-playing tough conversations, practicing coping strategies, or exploring identity and self-confidence through fun, interactive tasks.
  • Journaling and reflection: writing prompts, letters to yourself, or guided exercises to process emotions and set goals.
  • Mindfulness and grounding activities: sensory tools, breathing exercises, or movement breaks (because let’s be honest, sometimes it’s needed).
  • Celebrating wins: we’ll recognize the progress, big or small, because every step forward matters.

Whether we’re working through challenges, practicing new skills, or celebrating victories, I’m right there with you. I want therapy to feel useful, safe, and yes, sometimes even fun.

Outside The Office:

When I’m not in session, you’ll probably find me shopping with my fiancé or playing with my miniature dachshund, Moose, who, to be clear… runs the household. I’m just living in his world and spoiling him with all the toys that he will tear up within 10 minutes. I’m also a die-hard Oklahoma Sooners fan, and I will find any excuse to attend a game whenever I can. If it’s fall and it’s Saturday, chances are I’m yelling at a referee on TV like he can hear me.

Working with adolescents is truly my passion, and I’m honored to help young people grow into the strongest, most confident versions of themselves. If you’re looking for a supportive therapist who’s real, down-to-earth, and not afraid to sprinkle in some humor, I’d love to work with you.
